The château comprises two distinct areas: the flats and the Musée Condé.

The Conde Museum

The Musée Condé, the 2nd largest collection of ancient paintings after the Louvre, presents a magnificent collection of 800 works. Poussin, Ingres, Raphael... dozens of painters who have made art history.
The Musée Condé has preserved a typical 19th-century display. Indeed, the Duc d'Aumale, the last princely owner, left a legacy of a specific will requesting that the works in Chantilly remain in place and never be sold or loaned out. In this way, he hoped to keep his collection intact, and thanks to this vigilance, Chantilly is one of France's most beautiful museums.
