1er Sunday of each month, from april to october, go back in time to the Gallo-Roman era!
Usually closed to the public, our guides will open the doors for you 1st century arenas, a unique site in the Hauts de France region. Semi-excavated, they could hold up to 8,000 spectators to watch gladiator fights!
Admire the 3rd century ancient wall, built to protect the city against invasions, one of the best preserved in France with its 16 still existing towers.
Then visit the Museum of Art and Archeology to admire the remains of a 2nd century habitat and the base of the 3rd century rampart, as well as the collections of Gallo-Roman archeology (bronze base, dedicated to the Emperor Claudius 1st century, remarkable exhibition of ex- voto of the Halatte forest temple).
