Every weekend in July, August and September. The magic of a theatre where the setting is nature. Classic and modern plays, for children and adults. Its special feature: the stage set on the water, where the natural scenery is integrated into original stagings.
The theatre was designed and built by Yves Bienaimé . It is located in the heart of the Potager des Princes in the Parc de la Faisanderie. The decorative trellis tiers are reminiscent of 18th-century fireworks. The stage opens onto the pond and the actors enter and leave through the park.
The Theatre contains 199 seats.
The Festival La Scène au Jardin was created in 2008 on the initiative of Virginie Bienaiméactress and director. professional theatre companies whose shows blend with the natural setting of the Théâtre de la Faisanderie. This setting makes for original, daring staging, giving even the most theatrical situations a cinematic edge.
Our demanding artistic choices cater for an eclectic audience looking for shows that combine quality, emotion and entertainment.
Every Friday and Saturday evening A Catering stand or food truck will be waiting for you at the Guinguette du Potager des Princes after the performance to extend your evening while enjoying a meal. The Buvette de la Guinguette will also be open. NO RESERVATION REQUIRED.
