Since its foundation in 1222, Victory has been closely linked to the history of France. It is indeed, to commemorate the double victory in 1214, of King Philippe Auguste against Othon IV at Bouvines and of his son Louis VIII against Jean sans Terre at La Roche aux Moines, that the king decided to build an abbey which will take the name of "Victory". Private property open during the European Heritage Days.
