the Gallé-July Museumwhich includes the Maison Gallé-Juillet and the Maison de la Faïenceis a beautiful legacy from the past of Creil. Its collections, still unsuspected, reflect the the city's reputation in the industrial era. But not only that! The department's archaeologists have been working for several years on a astonishing discovery: Creil was home to a medieval castle which was, in its time, comparable to that of Pierrefonds! This castle is also part of the foundations of the Maison Gallé-Juillet and can be discovered during the specially organised visits on this occasion (see the agenda on the website).

THE GALLÉ-JUILLET HOUSE

Bequeathed by the Gallé-Juillet family During the first half of the 20th century, the Maison Gallé-Juillet, which can only be visited with a guide, presents the life of our ancestors in the Belle Époque. The beds are made, the table is set with earthenware dishes. A complete step back in time immersiveThis is the story of Maurice, a young man who died for France in the First World War, his family and the household staff.

The visit is to be combined with the Maison de la Faïence.

On a regular basis workshops are offered to children and adults alike, to discover in a fun and original way the life of the house's inhabitantsthe habits and customs of the time, the earthenware work or the excavations on the Castle of Creil.
