10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Discovery tour of Senlis
Saint Louis marked the city with his presence...Senlis, cradle of the Capetian kings, whose castle was a royal residence until the beginning of the 16th century.
In the heart of its park, the Saint-Maurice priory was erected by Saint Louis in 1262, in order to house the illustrious relics of Saint-Maurice.
It was also under his reign that the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral was enlarged, in which one can contemplate splendid stained glass windows retracing the very particular life of this extraordinary king.

12 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Lunch in a restaurant in Senlis.

3 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Guided tour of Royaumont Abbey
Saint Louis built it in 1228 and then stayed there regularly, achieving here the perfect balance between his faith and his royal function. The refectory, the kitchens, the sacristy, the Gothic cloister and the ruins of the church are still today the setting for stories depicting his great piety.
