10am to 11.30am: In the footsteps of Le Nôtre
Situated on the banks of the Nonette, the town of Chantilly is strongly marked by the presence of water. Reservoirs, canals and locks remind us of the essential role played by this source of energy, from the water games in the Condé gardens in the 17th century to the Duc d'Aumale's laundry, via the town's vanished manufacturing heritage.

Lunch in a restaurant in Chantilly
2.30pm - 4pm: Guided tour of the Pavillon de Manse
This listed building, the former mill of the Princes de Condé, is the heart of the hydraulic system that was used to transport water to the fountains and fountains in the gardens of the Château de Chantilly designed by André Le Nôtre.
Live the evolution of the mechanism over 3 centuries by activating an impressive wooden wheel from the 17th century then by plunging into the industrial revolution to the sound of 19th century machinery.
The height of modernism, the Pavilion also houses the laundry of the Duke of Aumale, fully mechanized, it is a real curiosity that remained in operation until the 1970s.
4pm - 5pm: Chantilly Cream demonstration and tasting with a snack
Attend a demonstration of the real Crème Chantilly recipe with the Confrérie des Chevaliers Fouetteurs. Sample the Crème Chantilly with a delicious apple tart and a drink in the Pavillon de Manse's drying room. You will each leave with a brochure on the Treasures of Chantilly.
