Parc urbain du prieuré

The Prieuré urban park is a large green space extending over more than 30 hectares, on the outskirts of the city, with free access 24/7. There are two entrances: either by the chemin du moulin de St Leu, rue André Ginisti (near the E.Leclerc store) or by the footbridge on avenue François Mitterrand (at the level of the roundabout and the E. Seguin). A dirt road allows you to go around the pond on foot or by bike. This path is suitable for strollers or people in wheelchairs. For athletes, there are poles indicating the lengths, allowing sessions to be split over 150-meter lengths, as well as an urban gymnastics structure. Swimming is prohibited but the pond is a delight for fishermen: there are eels, zander, pike, white or even carp. The pond is maintained by municipal agents and the association "Les Martins Pêcheurs". To extend the walk, you can reach the pond of Thiverny by a small path which allows you to cross the railway line in complete safety. From there, you have direct access to the hiking trail that crosses the woods towards Cramoisy. The river "Le Thérain" runs along the urban park. A few meters from the park is the canoe-kayak club of Montataire which rents boats for self-guided trips from Mouy or Cires-les-Mello.
