The Coteau de la Garenne is a semi-natural space of 1.5 hectares classified as "Zone Natura 2000" managed by the Conservatory of Natural Spaces of Hauts-de-France. Located on the top of Creil, it can be reached by rue Jean Moulin (Quartier Rouher) or on foot from the Oise valley and the city center by the "Côte à Cri-cri". Formerly made up of pastures, the calcareous lawns have been reforested little by little and today shelter a rare and threatened flora as well as a numerous and varied fauna: butterflies, crickets, lizards, birds and bats. To discover these natural riches, many visits and workshops are organized all year round by the House of the City of Creil, the Conservatory of Natural Spaces of the region and the Regional Natural Park "Oise Pays de France" of which Creil is part. .
