Etang de Thiverny

Located on the edge of the village, at the entrance to the wood, you can access the pond by taking the hiking path leading to Cramoisy. The site was left as much as possible in its natural state for the tranquility of the fauna and flora that flourish around the water bodies. It is the ideal place to observe ducks, water hens, dragonflies and other "small animals". Only development on site: a picnic table at the entrance of the pond allows you to enjoy the peace and nature. The peaceful atmosphere is disturbed only by the passage of a train from the "Creil-Beauvais" line, and by the bleating of the goats from the mini-farm "Utopia" which is nearby.
The pond is part of a set of bodies of water called "De la Maladrerie", separated from the Urban Park of Montataire by the railway. A small path allows you to cross it safely to extend the walk in Montataire Park.
The site is freely accessible 24/7. Swimming and fishing are not permitted at the Etang de Thiverny.
