Created in 1985 by 2 Cantiliennes proud of this too often forgotten artisanal heritage, the museum now preserves nearly 1000 pieces of 19th century lace. This is the largest collection of handmade Chantilly lace. Some pieces in this museum (including a rare square shawl) are unique. The most beautiful of them are presented in the three rooms of the museum. Follow the museum trail which allows you to understand the whole process of making lace by hand and then to understand the great diversity of uses of lace! Upstairs, enjoy the beauty of the temporary exhibitions to discover many artists specializing in the world of fashion, and more particularly lace.
