The historic heart of Senlis is made up of cobbled streets with a central gutter, punctuated by "hunting wheels" markers, characteristic of medieval times. Some streets smell of the trades of yesteryear that were practiced there: Rue de la Tonnellerie, rue de la Tannerie, rue de la Treille, rue des Cordeliers… If you look closer, you can see clues to their past. : signs, wall advertisements… Other street names arouse curiosity, such as rue de la Poulaillerie which still deserves its name, rue des Pigeons blancs, rue du Chat Haret, rue aux Flageards… In summer, the streets adorn themselves sweet scented roses that will delight you.
