Every year since 2001, the Domaine de Chaalis has hosted the Journées de la rose (Rose Days) on the second weekend in June, with a different theme. For three days, the event brings together lovers of the rose in all its forms.
More than 150 exhibitors from the four corners of France will be at Chaalis to showcase their trades, distil their advice and share their passion with a loyal and enthusiastic audience of visitors, be they amateurs, professionals or the simply curious.
Each edition is sponsored by a personality who, like Yann Arthus Bertrand for botany and the environment, Pierre Hermé for gastronomy, Hélène Carrère d'Encausse for literature or Stéphane Bern for heritage, embodies the wealth of varieties, uses and celebrations of the queen of flowers.

This year, the Rose Days will focus on the memory of the poet Pierre de Ronsardborn 500 years ago, who gave his name to one of the most famous rosebushes.
In June, the admirable poem for the death of Marie or the famous ode to Cassandre will be whispered in the Chaalis rose garden to celebrate the queen of flowers, the eternal image of beauty, pleasure and the passing of time:
"Live, if you believe me, don't wait until tomorrow,
Pick the roses of life today!
Pierre de Ronsard
