Le Prieuré de Bray, 60810 RULLY
from 8h00 to 14h00
Saint-Victor de Bray Priory was founded by Guy le Bouteiller, Lord of Senlis, in the will he drew up in 1248 before setting off with Saint Louis on the Seventh Crusade, during which he died in 1249.
Of the original religious buildings, the Gothic chapel, built between 1259 and 1263, remains.
Major restoration work has been underway since 1996, notably on the chapel, gardens, upper and lower courtyards and facilities to welcome the public.
Nearly 4,000 people attended the shows "Peau d'Âne" in 2005 and "Cyrano de Bergerac" in 2011. In May 2014, the show "Un éclat de pierre et de lumière" marked the 750th anniversary of the founding of the Priory.
Every year, concerts, exhibitions, symposia and conferences are organised by the "Friends of the Priory". These "Rendez-Vous de Bray" are attended by over 1,000 people every year.
To extend these events, the monument has been open to old stone enthusiasts at the end of the summer since 1999.
For a guided tour of the Priory, just turn up between 8am and 2pm every day from 22 August to 30 September.
Please leave your vehicle in the car park by the pond, then ring the bell to announce yourself.
