Discovering tree species in the Halatte forest

As part of the regional Arbre et Nature festival, you'll be able to discover the richness and diversity of forests through a wide range of activities.
The Tourist Office and the association Les Amis du Marais de Sacy et Alentours invite you to learn how to recognise the plant species and trees in our national forest. The Halatte forest, which rises to a height of 222 m, with its cathedral beech forests and century-old trees, is one of the forest's many different environments. Your guide will show you how to identify the trees visually, by looking at their leaves, bark and buds... all clues to help you recognise the different varieties. You'll be given all the keys you need to refine your knowledge.
