During all school holidays, lecturers from the Tourist Office offer fun workshops, some of the themes of which are:
- “Castle treasure hunt” workshop
In 987, Hugues Capet was elected King of the Franks at the royal castle of Senlis. A legend says that he left a treasure there... It's up to you to find it!
- Workshop "Bookmark in Illumination"
With the help of our lecturer, create an original bookmark by decorating it using this medieval technique of illumination.
- Life in the Gallo-Roman era as seen by a child.
Do you know how a child of your age lived in Gallo-Roman times? Our guide will explain to you what type of house he lived in, how his city was protected from invasions thanks to the ramparts? With what weapons, the Roman conquest was made and what games and shows he attended in the arenas.
- “Porcelain painting” workshop
With the help of our lecturer, you will learn to paint on different porcelain supports. Leave with your personalized creation to cook at home with the help of your parents.
- Treasure hunt “In the footsteps of kings and queens”
Walk in the footsteps of kings and queens with our guide. She will talk about their stays in Senlis, then become a historian by following in the footsteps of these kings and queens in the city by answering questions, in the form of a treasure hunt.
- Create your coat of arms
Learn to decipher coats of arms. A coat of arms is indeed a set of lines, drawings, colors and has a very specific vocabulary. Our speaker will then deliver all the messages that it includes during this workshop.
